Ado Girls’ Secondary School Earns Place in “Nigerian Girls in ICT Programme”
Ado Girls’ Secondary School, Onitsha – A Smart School, has achieved another remarkable milestone by being selected to participate in the Anambra State round of the Nigerian Girls in ICT Programme.
Out of sixty secondary schools across Anambra State that applied for the programme, only five schools were selected. Notably, Ado Girls’ Secondary School was the only public school among the successful candidates, standing alongside institutions from the private sector. With 3rd position, this achievement reflects the school’s growing reputation for academic excellence, innovation, and commitment to technology education.
The Nigerian Girls in ICT Programme is a strategic initiative aimed at bridging the gender gap in technology by providing young women with structured exposure to digital skills, mentorship opportunities, industry networks, and career pathways in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Being selected for this prestigious programme highlights the talent, determination, and potential of Ado Girls’ students. It also reinforces the school’s vision of preparing girls to thrive in the digital age and become future leaders in science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
